How can we save our planet

There are so many things to do to reduce global warming as individual such as:

1. replacing one regular light bulb with a compact fluorescent light bulb will save 150 pounds of carbon dioxide a year.
2. Walk, cycling, carpool or talk mass transit more often, you will save one pound of carbon dioxide for every mile you don't drive.
3. You can save 2400 pounds of carbon dioxide per year by recycling just half of your household waste.
4. keeping your tires inflated properly can improve gas mileage by more than 3% and every gallon of gasoline saved keeps 20 pounds of carbon dioxide out of the atmosphere.
5. It takes a lot of energy to heat water. Use less hot water by installing a low flow shower head and washing your clothes in cold or warm water.
6. You can save 1200 pounds of carbon dioxide if you cut down your garbage by 10%.
7. By moving your thermostat just 2 degrees in winter and up 2degrees in summer you could save about 2000 pounds of carbon dioxide a year with this simple adjustment.
8. In every tree we plant it will absorb one ton of carbon dioxide over its lifetime.
9. By turning off our electronic devices we will save thousands of pounds of carbon dioxide a year.

What I have learned

From this exercise I have learned so many information about global warming and now i am aware enough to how to deal with this problem personally and i am also able to discuss with others about this issue. By using the blogger website i also learned how to create my own blog using web site facilities. Further more this exercise has enhanced my communication skills by using more new English words. In the area of information technology i will be able to present my work in a professional style.

The effect of rising in temperature

When the temperature do rise due to the global warming many thing are expecting to be happen.One of the Major effect of rising temperature is the shortage of fresh water.By the year of 2020 400 million to 1.7 billion of people will not have enough water which can make a global concern about finding fresh water cross the world. Also warmer water can kill some sea wildlife such as tropical coral reefs because the sea water will absorb carbon dioxide from the atmospher. This will make the sea more acidic. Moreover due to the climate change the polar ice caps will melt and cause the sea water level go up to 3 feet which can take out many cities, small island and some shallow rivers from the map.www.cesc.net

Transportation and global warming

As result of rapid growth of world population the need for transportations is increase. As most of modern transportations such as cars, plans, trains,…etc are running by fossil fuel and when the fossil fuel burns it produce a various of greenhouses gases that trap heat in the atmosphere and cause global warming. In some cases like in rush hours time cars and other vehicle produce much more carbon dioxide then any time raising the heat of the climate. Also modern transportations are Responsible for over 60% which is about one third of our nation’s production of carbon dioxide of the enhanced greenhouse effect, causing climate change.

The effects of Global warming

over the last 100 years the global temperatures have been increasing slowly by 0.20 C˚in every ten years. If the temperature continuing increasing by the same amount the global temperatures will rise form 5 to 9 degrees over the next fifty years, several things could happen. The increase of temperature could alter the growth of crops in areas near the equator due to insufficient rain and heat. this could really effect countries that rely in imported food.

With the high temperatures the polar ice caps could melt and cause the sea water level to go up 3 feet. this could take out small islands, coastal cities and some shallow rivers. Another effect of global warming when the temperatures do spread southword and northword and some dangerous and tropical disease will spread with it causing many more deaths because it will be out of control. Moreover many cities need to be rebuild due to the flooding and more money need to be spent on food and medical supplies and workers. All of this combined could and will cost a lot of money if we don't do something about is now.

What is the global warming? Global warming is the increase in the average temperature of the Earth's near-surface air and oceans in recent decades and its projected continuation. There are several causes of global warming. One of the main cause that is coming from carbon dioxide (CO2) which is released from greenhouses, industrial activities, the modern transportation. An increase in global temperatures can in turn cause other changes, including sea level rise and changes in the amount and pattern of precipitation. There may also be increases in the frequency and intensity of extreme weather events, though it is difficult to connect specific events to global warming. Other consequences may include changes in agricultural yields, glacier retreat reduced summer stream flows, species extinctions and increases in the ranges of disease-carrying insects.

Causes of Global warming

Global warming has recently become in top of any environmental issues agenda in most of modern countries across the world. In fact there are many causes of global warming. In this following paragraphs i will out line some of the cause of global Waring briefly.

one of the main cause of global warming is the rapid increase of the uses of fossil fuels which are required to run the huge industrial activities. Add to this the increase of uses of modern transportation due to the rapid growth of world population.

The massive deforestation is another cause because when the tress are removed the forestability to reduce carbon dioxide from the atmosphere is decreasing. Finally the the emissions of the greenhouse gases such carbon dioxide (CO2) and methane which are mainly come from animal's manure.
